How to apply

In view of short deadlines, we suggest that you keep your application as brief as possible, while still giving us a clear idea of how you plan to carry out appropriate patient and public involvement (PPI).
Once you submit your application, we will aim to respond within two working days.
Note: the Enabling Involvement Fund is open to anyone who is responding to Covid‑19 funding calls irrespective of how much time you have until submission. Please make sure you read our guidance notes before applying.

For an immediate decision as to whether we can offer you PPI funding for your Covid-19 application, we are happy to assess your plans over the phone.
To set up a call, please email us with“Covid‑19 PPI” in the subject heading.
Note: this offering is subject to you emailing a short description of your PPI plans after the phone call.

Retrospective applications
We are also happy to consider retrospective funding applications if you have already done PPI to inform a Covid‑19 funding application. Please fill in our application form, clearly stating that you have already done PPI. We will offer funding for either: reimbursement for PPI out-of-pocket payments, or direct payments to public participants.
