Research Design Service (RDS) London delivers these workshops in partnership with NIHR Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and King’s College London.

The workshops are co-designed and co-delivered by trained members of the Public Advisory Group. Participants will be able to discuss specific challenges in their own studies with experienced service users.

Please note: The workshop is designed for researchers looking to carry out health research. If you are a patient interested in training please contact ppi@rdslondon.co.uk who can help you.

The workshop covers:

  • An overview of what effective PPI is and is not in the context of research
  • How patients and the public can be involved at each stage of the research cycle
  • Practical planning for effective PPI
  • Clarification on what resources and support structures exist in the RDS and BRC.
