Dr Sharlene Greenwood is a NIHR Clinical Lecturer (now known as a NIHR Advanced Research Fellow) and a consultant physiotherapist at King’s College Hospital. We met with her to find out more about her research and how RDS supported her to get funding.

Sharlene has 13 years experience as a specialist renal physiotherapist. She leads a clinical and research team of 12 therapists, leading on various research and clinical innovation projects in renal, cardiac and physical activity.
She is also a senior clinical lecturer at King’s College London. Her research focuses on evaluating the feasibility of exercise-based rehabilitation for patients with chronic kidney disease.

At the start of her research career she had difficulty obtaining funding and on the advice of a colleague, she contacted RDS London for help. In this video, she shares insight into her research career and how we have supported her in obtaining key research funding.
