Project title: Living well with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD): optimising management of symptoms of fatigue, abdominal pain, and faecal urgency/ incontinence via tailored online self-management: the IBD-BOOST programme.

Project Summary:
This programme will work with people with IBD to develop and test a checklist for reversible causes of symptoms. For people without reversible causes we will develop an online self-management programme. In an RCT we will compare this online self-management programme supported by an IBD nurse specialist, compared to usual care. Our endpoints will include quality of life, and symptoms of fatigue, abdominal pain and faecal incontinence.

RDS London support
Detailed feedback on all aspects of the application, including making the case for the need for the research, design and PPI. The RDS input helped to focus and refine our proposal.

Would you recommend RDS London to colleagues applying for grants?
Yes, I would thoroughly recommend the service. I would advise getting in contact with RDS as early as possible in developing your grant and staying in touch regularly during the process as you develop your ideas.
