The dissemination of the research findings should be planned and costed at the project’s outset and presented in the application.

A good introduction on this topic read ‘Disseminating research findings: what should researchers do? A systematic scoping review of conceptual frameworks‘ (published 2010).

Keep in mind that dissemination should not be confused with research impact (e.g. social and economic impact). Good dissemination may result in enhanced impact, but it also may not.  Therefore, you need to also consider conduits to impact in your application, such as key opinion leaders, community groups, policy makers and budget holders in your networks, and how these may be involved.
